Tamba is a new contemporary Indian-inspired fusion restaurant & bar in The Hub at The Mall at Abu Dhabi’s World Trade Center. The name Tamba means ‘copper’ in Hindi, and was used as inspiration from the traditional copper vessels used in Indian cooking. Tamba also hosts large copper bells, which serve as the focal point of the restaurants interiors.
Serving Indian inspired cuisine with influences from all over the world, the menu is designed to encourage social dining and allows guests to explore a diverse and eclectic range of dishes. Passion and culinary creativity are evident throughout, where every dish is a Tamba signature.
While working at North55, I created the brand identity, advertising campaign, photography style (including art direction), website and restaurant collateral including signage, menus, and uniforms for the restaurant launch. The main objective was to develop a brand that was suited to the concept and contemporary interiors of the restaurant, as well as position Tamba as a hot new restaurant in town!
After a highly successful launch, Tamba was recently being nominated for the below awards:
• What’s On Awards 2016
• BBC Good Food Awards 2016
